Headless. From the Public Record

Headless was an eight-year-long performance tracing an offshore company on the Bahamas called Headless Ltd. The project focuses on the ideas of ‘withdrawal’ and ‘offshore’ as both artistic and financial strategies. Goldin+Senneby were never present at any public situation related to Headless.

The installation ”Headless. From the Public Record” (2009) features an ”artist talk” between Goldin+Senneby’s spokesperson Angus Cameron and curator Kim Einarsson, recorded as a PowerPoint presentation with audio. Cameron is an economic geographer who has been working as an agent for the artists since 2008. Their conversation addresses legal, philosophical, and spatial aspects of ”offshore”.

The work was first exhibited at Index, Stockholm (2009) with Angus Cameron (economic geographer), K.D. (fictional author), Kim Einarsson (curator/writer), Anna Heymowska (set designer), Marcus Lindeen (director) and Eva Rexed (actor). Curator: Mats Stjernstedt.
